One of the major driving forces behind the success of our firm is the SME' department, staffed by a relatively young and enthusiastic bunch of people they excel in their dedication and performance.

As a result of the promotion of our current practice manager we're looking for a qualified and experienced Insurance Broker with respectable commercial lines experience to carry on the good work with our SME' Team.

The duties are varied and largely relate to the management and mentoring of approximately 20 sales and support staff dealing with the entire administrative process of inbound SME' sales and service enquiries through to arranging cover with Underwriters and the administrative processes thereafter.

Key Qualifications & Skills:
  • Tier 1 or equivalent with a demonstrable track record in commercial class insurance;
  • Genuine desire to Manage & Mentor people to achieve their goals;
  • Ability to make decisions and communicate with client enquiries;
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
  • A comprehensive understanding of technical issues;
  • Strong focus on Sales, Compliance & Quality;
  • Willingness to undertake interstate travel from time to time

Currently based at circa' $50K + performance bonus however, substantial variables can be structured to reflect your level of expertise and quality of performance. In some circumstances sign on fees may be applicable.

    HRí Notes: This is a great job for someone with commercial lines experience who believes they have the desire and ability to lead a team largely responsible for RGIB's outstanding success. This job is not for the inexperienced but rather, someone who understands the reality of bridging the divides between sales and good underwriting & related administrative processes.
