In 2005 RGIB' established a dedicated aviation insurance
services division [Civil Aviation Insurance 'CA'] in order
to offer something different and unique to the owners
and operators of aircraft in Australia, New Zealand and
a number of Pacific Island nations.
The aviation insurance sector has some of the best potential
of any insurance class to achieve a leading market position
in a short period of time, which is proven by the initial
success of CAI' which commenced with a strategy to become
the new force of aviation insurance in the Australasian
region.
With a number of supportive Underwriters willing to make
a difference and a growing number of enquires enquiries
as result of our advertising strategy and leading website,
CAI' is poised ready for the next stage of its growth.
We're looking for an outstanding individual with a strong
track record from the Aviation insurance discipline to
take charge of this portfolio with the intention of building
it into the leading aviation insurance brokerage that
just not sells insurance but, also takes an active interest
in most things aviation.
Currently the portfolio is administered by our general
broking department thus, the successful applicant can
expect to have the responsibility of creating an entirely
new service division to include support administration
and claims servicing and many other such duties such as
market advertising and editorial contribution for the
aviation sector.
Additionally, the applicant will have to have a thorough
knowledge of aviation premium comparative rating and clause
inclusion/exclusion in order to ensure Underwriters are
in the market' and competitive thus, experience in dealing
with underwriters at a management level is essential.

To secure this excellent opportunity with real career
progression opportunities you will need a minimum of two
(2) years aviation insurance experience with the following
key qualifications and skills:-
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Tier 1 or equivalent with a demonstrable track record
in Aviation Insurance;
- A comprehensive understanding of technical aviation
issues, including Lloyds A1 wordings;
- Ability to manage client enquiries & grow the
book without sacrificing administration;
- Client service ethic and a proactive outgoing
nature;
- Team leader qualities & mentoring skills;
- Strong sales and relationship building skills
with clients and underwriters alike;
- Ability to source solutions for clients &
willingness to undertake interstate and o/s travel.
Remuneration:
Currently based at circa' $85K + performance bonus's however,
substantial variables can be structured to reflect your
level of expertise. In some circumstances sign on fees
may be applicable. You will be rewarded with a competitive
salary package including bonuses and you can look forward
to having plenty of opportunity to progress to a senior
underwriting role.
